Tom Ricketts, PhD
, professor of health policy and administration and deputy director of the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, will give the first in a series of seminars focused on health care policy on Tuesday, September 4, at noon in 104 Carrington Hall. Ricketts will speak on “Who-What-When-Where-Why and How of Policy and Politics.”

Other upcoming seminars include:

  • Tuesday, September 18 – Gary Rozier, DDS, professor of health policy and administration, “Policies to Improve Access to Dental Care for Preschool-aged Children.”
  • Tuesday, October 2 – Jon Oberlander, PhD, associate professor of social medicine, “Health Reform Interrupted: Lessons from Oregon’s Struggle to Cover the Uninsured.”
  • Tuesday, October 16 – Tim Carey, MD, professor and director, Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, “Comparative Effectiveness Research: New Wine? New Bottles?”

Fall seminars are scheduled between now and the end of November, always at noon on Tuesdays in 104 Carrington Hall.
