Each semester, students are invited to submit applications for a limited amount of teaching assistantship (TA) positions for the department’s required courses. An email announcement is sent to all doctoral students and continuing master’s students with information on applying for TA positions.

*PhD students are required to have an MPH in order to qualify for a teaching assistantship during their first two years in the program.

Additional tuition responsibilities

Students are responsible for paying the additional tuition charged by the Gillings School of Global Public Health and all student fees.
