Aaron Carroll, MD, MS, will present “Evidence-Based Health Policy: An Unfortunately Elusive Goal.”
Per researcher, professor, dean, author and pediatrician Carroll, medicine has been pushing more and more toward a scientific approach to its practice, focusing on evidence. But this push conflicts with the way medicine has been practiced for generations. Some doctors believe evidence-based practice is actually harmful.
Carroll serves as Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Research Mentoring at Indiana University School of Medicine.
