(Chapel Hill, NC) — The Department of Health Policy and Administration announced the winners of its annual departmental awards recently in a ceremony at the Carolina Inn. The awards are given annually to those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the department in the past academic year. In addition to the awards described below, the department also recognized Delta Omega award recipients, in addition to graduate and undergraduate honors award recipients.

Undergraduate Awards

Jennifer Marie Cox and J. Bryan Mallory were named the recipients of the 2006 Foster G. McGaw Scholarship for outstanding first-year undergraduates.

Preston Hammock was named the Benjamin Rodin Scholarship award winner for 2006.

Elizabeth Hackney, Emily Keyes and Molly King were named the AUPH/McGaw Scholars for 2006.

The Jean G. Yates Health Policy Award was given to Catherine Coleman.

Larry Clark was presented with the Jacob Koomen Public Health Practice Award for his public health service as a senior policy analyst and legal counsel to the Democratic Whip of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
