CEHS Events

The Center for Environmental Health and Susceptibility coordinates three types of training events, a seminar series, a career development series and one or more symposia.

  • The CEHS Seminar Series (monthly) features leading internal and external experts in environmental health (2019-2020 seminars listed below).
  • Our Career Development Series (monthly) is an internal symposium that was initiated to address needs of pre- and postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty. These seminars are led by CEHS faculty and staff.
  • CEHS Scientific Symposia (annual) foster scientific and intellectual exchange and foster development of new teams. The symposium format includes research presentations, poster sessions, and participant discussion. We leverage campus partnerships to maximize engagement.

2024 CEHS Seminar Series

The UNC Center for Environmental Health and Susceptibility (CEHS) and Lineberger Cancer Center, in collaboration with NC State University, the University of Kentucky and Emory University, have organized a series of virtual webinars focused on strategies for effectively reporting research results to communities. Attendees will include students, trainees, and faculty, as well as other environmental health researchers. We are excited to learn more about report-back, specifically as it may inform approaches regarding environmental health data and connections to environmental health research. If you are interested in attending, please register here:
