May 24, 2018 Dr. Edith Parker, a two-time alumna of the Gillings School's Department of Health Behavior, has been named dean of the University of Iowa College of Public Health.

Alumnus Paul Erwin named dean of UAB School of Public Health

May 22, 2018 Dr. Paul Campbell Erwin, 2009 alumnus of the Gillings School, has been selected as dean of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health. Erwin, who will begin in that position on Aug. 1, currently is professor and head of the University of Tennessee (UT) at Knoxville Department of Public Health.

April 21, 2018 Three faculty members have been selected to win the Gillings School's prestigious awards for teaching, mentorship, research and service. Ammerman recognized by UNC Center for Public Service for engaged research in NC

Pam Haines, former nutrition faculty member, dies at 70
