The 2013 Bernard G. Greenberg Distinguished Lecture Series will be held on May 8-9, 2013. We are pleased to announce that this year’s speaker is Trevor Hastie, professor of statistics and professor of health, research and policy at Stanford University.

Two lectures will be presented on Wednesday, May 8 and one lecture on Thursday, May 9 as follows:

All lectures will be held in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Memorial Auditorium, 0001 Michael Hooker Research Center, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

The biostatistics department’s annual lecture series honors the first chair of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Biostatistics Department, Dr. Bernard G. Greenberg, who later served with distinction as dean of the School of Public Health from 1972 to 1982.
