Celebrating Public Health at Carolina!

75th Anniversary Celebration on April 17

You are invited to a special evening at the School to honor 75 years of public health at Carolina on Friday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Join us for an evening of food and fun as we take you on a nostalgic tour through the School to travel back to a time when there were picnics on the lawn, Trailer 39 and a snack bar and student lounge. Dress in your favorite Carolina blue and white attire.

Foard Memorial Lecture on April 16

Our 47th Annual Fred T. Foard Jr. Memorial Lecture will take place on Thursday, April 16 at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. This year’s Foard lecturer is Dr. Marion Nestle.

The lecture begins at 6 p.m. and is followed by a reception at 7 p.m. There will be several departmental events beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Peace Corps & Public Health Event on April 15

Calling all Peace Corps and public health alumni and students. Join us for a networking event for UNC students and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers on Wednesday, April 15 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The event will take place in the Armfield Atrium in the Michael Hooker Research Center of the Gillings School of Global Public Health
