Alumni Association selects new officers

The Governing Board of the School’s Alumni Association appointed new officers at their June 10 quarterly meeting. Priscilla Guild, MSPH ’71 (BIOS) will be the new President. Guild will move from her current position on the Executive Committee as At-Large Representative to assume her the position of President-Elect on July 1. She will serve one year on the Executive Committee as President-Elect, before assuming the Office of the Presidency on July 1, 2012, when current President, Joseph John MHA ’05 (HCAD) completes his two-year term. This will be Guild’s second term as President. She also served as President of the Alumni Association in 1990 and 1991.
Also beginning July 1, on the Executive Committee, will be four new At-Large Representatives:
There are several new representatives for the departmental sections:
Kristin Black and Christian Douglas are the new Co-Presidents of the Minority Student Caucus and serve as Ex-Officio (non-voting) members on the Governing Board.
And Clayton Velicer is the School’s Student Government Co-President and will also serve on the Governing Board as an Ex-Officio member. The School welcomes all of the new officers and is grateful for their willingness to volunteer their time to advance the mission of the Alumni Association.
