Michelle Collins, MPA
Michelle Collins has been the Nutrition Obesity Research Center’s (NORC) managing director since 2007. She has a master’s degree in public administration and more than 14 years of experience in grant writing, resource development and project management. Under the direction of Dr. Steven Zeisel, Ms. Collins manages all administrative aspects of the NORC. This includes managing the Administrative Core, promoting and marketing the NORC, monitoring core usage, overseeing core budgets, communicating between the center and its investigators, maintaining the NORC website, NORC Central and social media accounts, providing support for the Enrichment Program and the Pilot & Feasibility Grant Program, and coordinating internal and external committee activities. She is also the primary liaison between the NORC and the Nutrition Research Institute in Kannapolis.
