Melissa Christensen Daniels, PhD

Adjunct Assistant Professor Department of Nutrition

Dr. Daniels completed her doctoral degree in nutritional epidemiology at UNC in 2005 and continues her work as a nutrition researcher at UNC with funding from the Academy for Educational Development. Her current research aims to improve instrumentation for measuring the micronutrient needs of children and women in international settings. She is currently involved with an international team of researchers in a multi-country study of the performance of food group indicators in measuring women’s dietary adequacy.
