Deanna Wilkie oversees annual giving and alumni affairs at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. In this role, she develops direct marketing communications to encourage unrestricted annual giving to the Gillings School and its departments. She also is responsible for various activities that keep alumni engaged and connected to UNC Gillings, including working with the Gillings School Alumni Association, maintaining the School’s online community (WellConnected), and collaborating with School and department leadership to coordinate alumni outreach and communications.
Wilkie came to the Gillings School's Advancement Office in July 2013,
she is no stranger to Carolina. She is a 2004 graduate of the UNC School
of Media and Journalism and spent eight years at the Morehead-Cain
Foundation — the premiere merit scholarship program at UNC — serving in
various alumni relations, fundraising and event planning roles. She and
her husband, Richard, live in Chapel Hill with their daughter and
a Boston Terrier.
